William F. Brown
author : William F. BrownI’m the author of nine mystery and international suspense books now available on Kindle, and two non-fiction books interviewing over 160 Vietnam Vets.\n\nWant to know what Vietnam was really like? Real stories, real people, in their words. They tell who we were, where we came from, our experiences and memories of the place, and what we did after the war. Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, and the Coast Guard, from 1955 to 1975, from the Delta to the DMZ walk along in their boots for a while. Their stories resonate. Volume 1 has a 4.7 Star Rating on 118 Kindle Reviews, and Book 2, just released, has 5.0 on 9 reviews. Try one. The stories are like Doritos, can't stop. \n\nMy suspense novels include the Bob Burke series. Burke’s War, Book #1 in the Bob Burke thriller novel series was a smash hit when it was released last March. Think The American Sniper meets the Godfather. When Bob Burke sees a murder taking place, he isn’t the kind of guy to leave it alone despite corrupt cops, Mafia hit men, and even his own wife. In Burke’s Gamble, #2 in the series, an old friend is murdered in an Atlantic City casino run by the New York mob. Nobody does that to a Delta, and payback will be a hoot! No snipers in a suburban Chicago Park this time. If you want to take down the Genoveses and Luccheses, you hit them where it will really hurt, in the bank and that will take some serious high-tech tricks. And in Book #3, Burke's Revenge, he doesn't go looking for trouble, trouble finds him; when he and 'Merry Men of Sherwood Forest' take on a homegrown ISIS cell.\n\n The Undertaker, my first e-book, was released in January 2011. It is a snarky, contemporary, domestic thriller with a mix of romance, humor, and stark terror that garnered an Amazon rating of 4.3 on 179 Kindle reviews, including 91 Five-Star ratings. Amongst My Enemies, my second e-book, is a fast-paced Cold War tale of action and international suspense that deals with espionage, revenge, and missing art and treasure in the post-war years. It has an Amazon rating of 4.3 on 177 Kindle reviews, including and 100 Five-Star ratings. \n\nA native of Chicago, I received a BA from The University of Illinois in History and Russian Area studies, and a Masters in City Planning.
